Hey, I'm Abdellah Askane, I go by Abdel. I'm a self-taught UI/UX designer based in Agadir, South Morocco. I collaborate with teams and founders to shape web and mobile experiences that are easy to use and aligned with business goals.
My Background:
I've spent 8+ years learning what makes people click, engage, and buy. Starting with print-on-demand design, moving through social media management, and eventually content design. That background taught me something valuable: design isn't just about solving problems, it's about driving measurable results.
My transition into UI/UX happened naturally. As a content designer, I kept finding myself fixing the parts of clients' websites where users got stuck or confused. What began as small tweaks turned into an obsession with understanding why things break and how to make them better.
What defines me:
I understand the business side of design. Years of creating designs that had to sell taught me to balance user needs with business goals. I don't just focus on aesthetics, I design with purpose.
I'm user-centered and data-informed. From watching what sold in print-on-demand marketplaces to tracking engagement on social media, I've learned to let user behavior guide my design decisions. I bring this same mindset to every UI/UX project.
I have strong visual design skills. My background in print-on-demand design and social media content creation gave me a solid foundation in layout, typography, color, and composition, which helps me create visually polished interfaces.
I'm self-taught and continuously learning. I stay curious, experiment with new tools, and adapt quickly to new challenges.
Beyond Design:
When I'm not designing, you'll find me exploring new tools like Framer, watching science fiction, or playing football.
